Christianity isn’t about following a set of rules; it’s about letting Jesus’ love rule your heart. (Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God.
Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1 John 4:7-8)
Christianity isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about seeking answers from the One who does. (Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8)
Christianity isn’t about living a life free of trials and burdens; it’s about giving them to Jesus, who lightens our load. (“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30)
Christianity isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being perfected. (For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. James 1:3-4)
When you understand who Jesus is and what He has done for you, His grace changes everything. Your heart changes, your thoughts change, and your behaviors change. Christianity IS about living a life in relationship with Jesus and honoring Him with that life. It’s about surrendering to the One who shapes your heart and allowing Him to make it an exact replica of His. If there is a particular part of your life that doesn’t resemble Jesus’ life, hand it over. He will do remarkable things! You are loved!
