He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. Psalm 103:12

Psalm 103:12

You may have heard of ultimate fighting and ultimate frisbee, but have you heard of ultimate forgiveness? That’s Biblical forgiveness—the kind that Jesus gives, the kind He took nails for. It’s the kind of forgiveness we don’t deserve.
The Greek word aphiemi, translated “forgiven,’’ is arguably one of the biggest, most powerful words in the entire Bible. Aphiemi is “ultimate” forgiveness, the superhero of forgiveness. It is the reason for the cross, the reason Jesus died and was resurrected, so we could live. Aphiemi means to leave or let it go. It’s forgiveness that goes infinitely beyond our human capacity to forgive. It means the sin has been left behind and completely and permanently “removed” from us.
Because Jesus paid the penalty your sin deserved, there is literally no sin left in you! If you had a box containing every one of your sins, it is now and forever will be, completely empty! It is perfectly clean and looks like it had never held something as filthy and heavy as sin. When Jesus forgives, the guilt caused by your sin is also gone! The righteousness of Jesus has been poured in instead. And there is simply no room for guilt where righteousness lives, where Jesus has cleansed, and the Holy Spirit has taken up residence.
What do you need to let go of today? Where are you holding tightly to shame that Jesus has already removed? The enemy of God wants you to hold and keep repeating in your thoughts every one of your mistakes. But if Jesus has forgiven you, there is no reason for you to hang onto any guilt or shame, and you also have no business withholding forgiveness from anyone who has hurt or offended you in the past. You are to forgive like Jesus forgives. You are commanded to offer aphiemi—the superhero of forgiveness. Prayerfully confess any sin, seek God’s righteousness, and live like you are forgiven and free! Because you are! You are loved!

Bear with each other, and forgive each other. If someone does wrong to you, forgive that person because the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13 (NCV)
