You must honor the Lord and truly serve him with all your heart. Remember the wonderful things he did for you!

1 Samuel 12:24 (NCV)

You aren’t more qualified to serve Jesus if you have a big, vibrant personality. He chooses the loud sometimes, but he also chooses the unassuming, the quiet, and the shy. He isn’t looking for big personalities; He’s looking for big, humble hearts. (James 4:6)

You aren’t more qualified to serve Jesus if you have great intellect. He chooses the brilliant sometimes, but he also chooses the average, the not-so-good-at-math, and even the those who have never been formally educated. He isn’t looking for the smartest minds; He’s looking for those who are wise enough to acknowledge Him as Lord. (Proverbs 9:10)

You aren’t more qualified to serve Jesus if you have great beauty or turn heads when you walk by. He chooses the beautiful head-turners sometimes, but he also chooses the ordinary, the ones who rarely get noticed, and even those our culture considers ugly. He isn’t looking for a beautiful face or a flawless figure; He’s looking for a beautiful soul that is eager to share Him with others. (Romans 10:13-15)

You aren’t more qualified to serve Jesus if you are a gifted musician, have the voice of an angel, or have any other special talents. He chooses the extremely talented sometimes, but He also chooses those with no special skills and no stage-worthy talents. He isn’t looking for people to put on a show; He’s looking for people who will show up on His behalf. (Matthew 25:40)

You aren’t more qualified to serve Jesus if you have an impressive investment portfolio or a seven-figure bank account. He chooses the exorbitantly wealthy sometimes, but He also chooses the poor and those who will never have a 401(k). He isn’t looking for people who save and invest for themselves; He’s looking for those who will serve Him, give generously, and invest in the lives of others. (Acts 20:35)

See? You are more than qualified, so go serve Him BIG!  You are deeply loved!
